Don’t donate, they open signs ups on the first or second of every month. It doesn’t have to be your own content, I assume it just has to be your content that’s not already on the site. You are connect though, you have to make a new .torrent file when you upload it.
Be prepared I found it insanely hard to keep a good ratio (though I didn’t upload anything and I don’t have a seedbox). I’m in many top trackers and this is the only one I had this problem on. I consider this site much harder than red to keep a good ratio. You can donate to increase your ratio, but I’m not willing to do that.
They give you a grace period, so if you only want one thing you can download it right when you join, but if you do you can screw up your ratio to the point where you won’t be able to recover unless you donate.
